I did not get chance to study traditional Chinese music. This is something significant I have missed in my life. But I know how to appreciate it. The appreciation comes by nature, because traditional Chinese music touched my heart. To me, the music is so easy to listen but so difficult to understand. The message from the music is very deep. Not like classic music, there are uncountable types of musical instruments. They are possession of different races. We can differentiate the races by their music tune and the musical instruments they used.

China has great inventions and discoveries, which have been recorded on the world civilization history. Long history created great people; culture made great nations. I have learnt our great history and culture from the ancient palace music to later date traditional Chinese music. When I am listening traditional music as if I am listening stories and watching movies. Music pieces with full of happiness, sadness, sorrow, excitement, love are so vivid to me. I was deeply moved by those nation heroes. I was inspirited by their great spirits.

Most of the time, Chinese traditional music brings me a tranquility and peaceful time. It is as wonderful as classic music. Classic music comes from western, while traditional music belongs to us. It is great heredity of our Chinese nation.

China is a great nation with spacious and fertile field. She raised 56 races of her people. The culture is worth to be proud of. As somebody ever said, “China is a great country, because she created so great people”.
