a girl and a guy
when writing a story, what is the most interesting way for a girl and a guy to meet(and fall in love)?
i'm writing an essay but i just can't make up my mind about how my main characters should meet...
perhaps it was a rainy day, and the girl(or guy) forgot to bring an umbrella and the other offered to walk him or her home? or maybe the girl was walking in the corridor and got knocked by someone who was in a rush, and the books that she was carrying scattered onto the floor and then the guy appeared and helped her to pick them up?
please give me some interesting ideas.it does not have to be really exciting, and not something abstract either. a situation that is more believeable.

Christmas is just around the corner. The season sales stampede strikes me an idea of how a girl met a guy in a shopping experience. It may be a bit dramatic but I suppose it could be a real scene in our life.
The scene:
As the Christmas Day sales got underway, a departmental store was congested with a large crowd pushing to grab the cut-price voucher. Some were even trying to trample over one another. A woman on crutches was knocked to the ground and trampled as hundreds of shoppers were just going crazy. As no one seemed to bother about the woman, a young guy dashed for help. While trying to block out the crowd, he shouted: “Come on, stop pushing! Stop it! Stop it!” People gave him the cold shoulder and continued to push forward. The young guy tried to carry the woman from the floor in the throng but in vain. No one was willing to help. He raised his voice again: “What the heck! Can anyone help?” There and then, a girl boldly squeezed through the crowd and came to assist him. Both of them finally managed to carry the woman to a safe place. The guy was pleased about what she had done. She smiled appreciatively at him. Oh, dear, feelings of admiration exchanged, so a loving relationship had just begun...

But those are so cliché! I truly believe all the good stories of guys meeting girls have been used to death by Hollywood, may it be a noisy encounter in a quiet library or a dashing rescue in front of a speeding object. There's always the immediate bonding between two people going through life-threatening/life-altering experience. But my favorite has always been James Bond. Girl sees Bond, girl melts. Maybe it's the story after the encounter that screams for attention. Have you ever seen _When Harry Met Sally_? Maybe that'll give you some ideas.
