What has been the biggest change in your life this year? In what ways?

Having been working for 5 years,I re-entered the University for post-graduate programe again. I am supposed to get 30 credits of fundermental courses for the master diploma,namely 16 courses.
For English selective classes, I chose "Western cultural literature selections" and "practical EN-CN translation". First off, I thought the Western cultural literature would be novels like "Jane Eyre" or some Shakespeare dramas. However,when the course actually began, I got Plato's "The allegory of the cave" and socrates's "The apology". I lost my appetite of reading them. There's no attracting story in "the allegory of the cave" but iterating among "den prisoners","light"and "shadows"... I spent a better part of the day for reading it but still didn't quite know what he's trying to say."the apology" went the same for me but after bitting all these bullets, I was actually moved by Socrates!Before he die,he's still trying to give his sincere advice to the masses and even his "foes".
I also thoroughly read the Genesis of Bible but very briefly on "Institutes of the Christian Religion". It's not my fault,I believe,for John Calvin's articles are really beyond my ability. Ralph Waldo Emerson's "Nature" is enjoyable and for the first time in my life, I heard the word "transcendentalist". And the very out-worldly writer Henry David Thoreau. I'm trying not to be brainwashed by Thoreau that I must remain some materalism in myself to live.^_^ The course was ended last week and I hope I can get a sound score.
This week, my "practical En-CN translation" begins and I was impressed by the teacher's explaining of "translation"and"translating". She said translation means"翻译行为",while translating for "翻译过程". She threw an example: there is a book named "translation and translating".You can't translate it as "翻译和翻译"！LOL^_^
Well,to conclude the biggest change this year: A brand new experience compared to my old ones. I want to share my ever-changing experiences with my old friends-U.

Your going back to grad school after having been working for 5 five years is really a big change in life. Congratulations, Belinda! Graduate school is tough academically. I hope you can keep up with both school and your social life. Enjoy! ^_^

What was the biggest change in my life this year? Several natural choices are available: having girlfriend, grown up, graduation... But I first thought that there was something that was more important to me than these. Or maybe my first research result? My first paper on a school journal? I finally concluded that no, it was none of the above.
The biggest change in my life was starting university. In particular, I remember the sunny morning when I found out I had been admitted.
Starting university in a top-level college meant that I overnight stopped being weird and became normal. I felt welcomed in a community which accepted me as I was, and didn't demand of me things that I couldn't or wouldn't do. Suddenly the fact that I don't understand much of fashion, or am clumsy in my movements, or have a very loud voice didn't count anymore. The shape of my nose and the size of my clothes stopped having any importance. What counted was my ability and willingness to work very hard, learn a lot, and eventually give my own contribution. I started respecting myself more.-

Like I stressed on my another question, I wanted to see your personal experience in detail. You'd better come up with something which really belongs to you. You know what I mean. Right? You're a guy, arent't you? However, "...much of fashion, or am clumsy in..." which sounds pretty girlie stuff.

the biggest change in my life this year is that i granduated from the high shcool,and then got a job in weihai,but three month latter,i found it was not fit for me.SO I left there.and went home.prepare for some examnation.
you know it is not easy for a man to stay at home and seems do nothing.All my neighbors thought i should get a good job.
but life just have a joke with me . so i stay at home without a job,maybe sometimes i think i dont want a job,i want stay at school with my schoomates,but sometimes.......i dont know. JUST keep reading books everyday,i hope i can pass the exam and back to school next year. -
