没有能在今年的美网再一次在星条旗前举起奖杯是罗迪克04赛季最大的遗憾，在他的心目中美网在四个大满贯中永远是排在第一位的，“也许我永远拿不了法网冠军，就像皮特(萨普拉斯)一样，但是我宁愿可以以他的美网纪录结束我的职业生涯，八次决赛，五个冠军”。当然，罗迪克也没有忘了戴维斯杯，“打败西班牙，这将还是一个不错的赛季，因此休斯敦对于我来说有双重的意义，毕竟那里有三种不同的泥地训练场”。
